BSZ Schongau

BSZ Schongau is located 1km outside the city centre. There are around 250 full-time students, 800 half-time students and 75 staff. Key areas of our quality managent for vocational education and school developement are inclusion, digitalisation and international relationsships.
The apprenticeship of our students is structured in a dual system. Part-time students receive skills-based instruction at the school. The intensification of the skills and abilities as well as the practical exercise takes place mainly in the training companies. To optimize the learning success of our students we work closely with our training companies and support the students holistically at our school.

Here in Schongau we have a vocational school for economics and administration (retail, management assistant in retail business, automobile sales management assistant, industrial business management assistant etc.) electrical engineering (installation electrician, machine maintenance electrician etc.), youths without an apprentceship training position (very often with special needs), nutrition, child care and social nursing.

In order to take into account the individuality and heterogeneity of our students, we cooperate closely with a vocational school which is specialized in students with special needs. That school is part of an institution (in fact a whole small village) that exclusively cares for people with special needs, emotional challenges, challenges like drugs, anxiety etc. And also we work together with a vocational school that offers another „craft professions“ like builders, painters, agriculture, metal technology etc.
We carried out some mobilities within the framework of Leonardo from the 2008/09 school year onwards. Annual flows, initially of pupils, later also of teachers, took place from the 2014/15 school year onwards, with multiple awards of the ECVET seal from Nabibb for "Excellent" international mobility.
As descibed we have been partners in European development projects and mobility, but this project would be our first collaborative project in KA2 format.
