Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi

Necip Fazıl Kısakürek General High School was founded in 1990. In 2013, it was turned into a vocational and technical high school. Now, it has 77 teachers and 1300 students. It comprises ICT, Electric Electronics, Mapping and Land registry and Chemistry departments.
The school aims to grow individuals who are capable of meeting the needs of industrial sectors and cooperating with both large and small companies in the private sector. The students undergo training in these companies three days a week in their final year of study.

The school provides a 4-year vocational education. The first year is a preparatory class. The school guidance service provides career counselling to the students. Then, the students choose their branch and continue their education in that branch.
We have been coordinators and partners in European development projects and mobility every year since 2012.

They are also responsible for anti-drug work, mental health issues, social activities and cooperation with external partners.

Vocational and technical schools in Turkey have experience, especially with students with low academic motivation. The school's guidance teachers, two of whom are NFKMTAL, are frequently given in-service training.
The parents of students in need of special education and who have low motivation for academic subjects want their students to go to a vocational high school and ask for a hand in a vocational high school. Registration is made. NFKMAL 64 has teachers who are well-educated, dedicated to self-education, and have considerable experience working with students with special educational needs and low school motivation because many of our students are placed in fields such as information technology and chemical technology.

We have formed a project management team at the school regarding this project proposal. There will be two special education and guidance teachers, an English teacher and me as a project manager in the team. According to the team's report, my school has approximately 36 students with special education needs in the 14-18 age range. 4 have autism, 3 have attention deficit, and 30 have specific learning difficulties. As for low motivation for academic studies we have around 50% of our students in this category. We are ready to do project module preparation or other project workloads

We are now involved in a comprehensive National and regional development program to develop the school culture and staff's competence in the core principles of inclusion.
Pedagogical innovation is always on the agenda, and there is a budget for teams to try innovative teaching methods. We are very active in promoting our school through social media.

In the relevant area, we have recruited a new anti-drugs team at our school, as substance abuse is also a big problem in Turkish schools. We are the VET school in our district with the lowest grades when students start high school but the best in terms of learning development that shows in the final results.
